Description
- A combination of an angiotensin II receptor (type AT1) antagonist and a calcium channel blocker.
- It has been shown to be effective in lowering blood pressure.
- Both losartan and amlodipine lower blood pressure by reducing peripheral resistance.
- Calcium influx blockade and reduction of angiotensin II vasoconstriction are complementary mechanisms.
- May be taken with or without food.
- Each film-coated tablet contains Amlopidine (as besilate) 5mg and Losartan Potassium 50mg.
- Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
